Situated in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, adjacent to the Kruger National Park, Elephant Plains offers comfortable style and affordable luxury. This family owned lodge accommodates a maximum of 24 guests, which ensures personal service and a warm, friendly atmosphere. The lodge is situated on the banks of the dry Manyeleti riverbed. It traverses an area of over 4500 ha. This encompasses clay-based plains, broad-leafed, hilly woodland, interspersed with dolerite ridges and mature riverine habitats, creating a fantastic biodiversity of flora and fauna. Here you can see Africa’s Big Five and you might even come across rarer predators, such as the cheetah and wild dog. The lodge layout caters for the discerning traveller, offering different types of accommodation to cater for a variety of needs.
Luxury Rooms:
The natural design and architecture of these six glass-fronted suites fall softly on the eye. Decorated in warm, earthy tones, they blend in superbly with their natural surroundings. These exclusive open-plan suites each have a lounge, double bedroom, en suite bathroom (inside/outside shower) and a private viewing deck that offers spectacular views over the riverbed. All luxury chalets feature air-conditioning, overhead fans, fireplaces, mini bars, tea/coffee facilities, mosquito nets and electronic safes.
The Manyeleti Honeymoon Suite:
Provides for romantic elegance and the setting ensures privacy with a stunning view. This glass fronted suite has all the regular luxuries and also boasts a private splash pool and sala, ideal for a mid-morning nap.
The Five Rondavels Rooms:
Are set in the beautifully landscaped garden of the original family holiday camp and one can still feel the old bushveld charm upon entering. The rondavels have sundecks, en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, overhead fans, mini bars, tea/coffee facilities, mosquito nets and electronic safes.
